Have you even been frustrated with the phone company? Well we once were so we decided to move all of our phone systems to VoIP. It sounded easy at first but as we found creating your own PBX comes with many options and considerations that can be daunting. We eventually ended up with a solution based on the open source tools Linux and Asterisk.
Asterisk is an open source software implementation of a PBX and more about it can be found on Wikipedia at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asterisk_(PBX). In any event we put considerable effort into perfecting our own Asterisk/PBX system (call us and you are talking to Asterisk), and now through it we provide VoIP support for our customers.
